Nebraska Community Blood Bank’s DonateSpaces program is an opportunity for community members to offer space to use as a convenient location to host a community blood drive.

Blood donations remain essential during the pandemic

Before the pandemic arrived in the U.S., nearly half of the blood donated to Nebraska Community Blood Bank was donated at community blood drives. The pandemic necessitated cancelling small community blood drives as well as all blood drives held on bloodmobiles.

Now, property owners, building managers, realtors, and others can donate space to help Nebraska Community Blood Bank collect the life-saving blood our local hospitals need.

There are many ways community members can donate space to help Nebraska Community Blood Bank:

• Donate space in its entirety or as a portion
• Donate space for one-time use or on a regular/recurring basis
• Offer space for reduced rent
• Donate the utility costs of rentable space

To ensure safe social distancing between donors, Nebraska Community Blood Bank requires a minimum of 1,600 square feet for community blood drive purposes. Ideal space would offer 1,600 – 4,000 square feet.
